Favorite Experience at UA: My greatest success on campus has been my leadership position on a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee on campus. Being able to utilize resources and help educate UA’s students and staff has been an amazing learning and teaching opportunity. There is such a need for this on our campus, and society as a whole, and to be given a platform where real change can be created has been awesome. I’ve learned so much from the people around me and continue to grow and help push society into a more inclusive direction. My favorite overall experience on campus has been writing for the student-led lifestyle magazine Alice. I have always had a huge passion for writing and fashion, so this gave me a great outlet to use my voice! It’s really fun to be part of something that has so many different working parts and to really work behind the scenes of a magazine.

Favorite Class: My favorite class, hands down, was American Popular Culture (AMS 422) with Dr. Morgan, who happens to be my favorite professor as well! It was the first course I had ever taken that I was always excited to go to and learn about. American culture has so many different facets that many people never learn about and Dr. Morgan made the class really fun. I never thought I would be excited to write a nine-page paper, but Dr. Morgan somehow made that happen. He is truly devoted to his students and is willing and dedicated to helping with anything. I’m extremely thankful I’ve gotten to work with him during my time at UA.

Future Plans: If all things go according to the plan, I graduate with my undergraduate degrees in the spring of 2022 and with my master’s in the spring of 2023. Following that, I am looking to get a job in fashion journalism in New York. Fingers crossed that a girl from a small town in Florida can manage to take over the fashion industry.
