Majors: Psychology and Addiction and Recovery

Hometown: Mobile, Alabama

Favorite Experience on Campus: Currently, I am completing an internship with the HRSA-Funded Graduate Psychology Education Program, and it has been one of my favorite experiences by far on campus. By working with this program, I have the unique opportunity to complete hands-on work in the field of addiction and recovery. I am so thankful to be working with this program because having interaction with clients as an undergraduate is a rare opportunity that I am not taking for granted.

Favorite Class: My favorite professor is Dr. Tricia Witte because her passion for the field and her students is inspiring. She created the Addiction and Recovery major. I took her Understanding Addiction class before I added the major, and it was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken. Since then, I have taken another one of her classes, and I am completing an internship with her. I am extremely grateful I have continually learn skills and knowledge from her I know I will use in my future career.

Future Plans: Attending graduate school for Marriage and Family Therapy
