Favorite Experience at UA: My greatest success on campus has been working with the Advisory Council on Wellness this past year to author the White Paper for 2020, which involved doing research and reporting on the psychological and social impact of COVID-19 on students and offer recommendations to administration. I felt that being able to contribute to something that would be presented to high ranking university officials allowed me to make a positive impact on campus and effectively advocate for my peers.

Favorite Class: My favorite class was CJ 395- the internship credit class. I took CJ 100 my first semester, and when the US Marshals of Northern Alabama came to speak to us about internship opportunities, I knew I had to take the chance. I landed the internship, and while the logistics of working in Birmingham two days a week while being a full-time student was a little bit stressful, it was also incredibly rewarding. Gaining real-world experience while learning pushed me to succeed in multiple areas.

Future Plans: Obtaining a law degree and working in the Human Trafficking Division of the FBI.
