Favorite Experience: While my time here at the Capstone has been filled with exciting adventures and wonderful people, my favorite experience has been my involvement with the Alabama Women’s Basketball team. Starting in October, I was lucky enough to accept a role as a practice player with the program. I was immediately welcomed with open arms by the entire team. This opportunity has allowed me to rediscover my passion for basketball and competition outside the classroom while simultaneously receiving a top-notch education. The incredible coaches, players, and staff I have met through this experience have undeniably changed my life for the better; they inspire me to be the best version of myself, to work harder than I think I can, and always give back to the community. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities Coach Curry and the women’s program have given me during my time in Tuscaloosa. My experience with the Alabama Women’s Basketball program has made me a better person on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.

Favorite Class: In my last semester, I have been lucky enough to take PSC-319: Constitutional Law: Individual Rights and Liberties with Dr. Linken. Constitutional Law has challenged me as a thinker and writer like no other class. Every day, we are presented with different cases that have been heard by the Supreme Court of the United States. We take these cases and dissect them as a class. The complicated case law and legal tests that are taught in this class have begun to shape my mind to think like a legal scholar. While my future is still largely undecided, PSC-319: Constitutional Law has strengthened my decision to pursue a career involving law. The opportunities to read and discuss Supreme Court rulings has proven incredibly helpful in growing my academic ability.

Future Plans: I plan on attending graduate school here at The University of Alabama to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA).
